Manually discharged horizontal disk kieselgur filters

The FSB and ECP manually discharged horizontal disk kieselgur filters are suitable for filtering wines and lees, and they are particularly effective in brightening and finishing processes. They are generally used in medium or small wineries.

Filtering with kieselgur is a very widespread practice in the winemaking world, and Della Toffola’s exclusive horizontal disk system has been adopted by thousands of wineries all over the world.

This type of filter relies on a unique system that keeps the filter cake intact even in the case of accidental interruptions in the filtering process.  All the models are simple and intuitive to use, with integrated control panels and a series of safety devices that guarantee a safe and reliable process. Thanks to the way in which the filter is made, cleaning only require a jet of normal water and the chute provided.

ECP filter: this model assures a quick and easy cleaning of the filter pack, by removing the vessel and then simply tipping the filter pack: moreover, a normal jet of water is all that is needed for cleaning, avoiding any damage or wear on the filter disks.
Models with a capacity of 2 and 3 m².

FSB filter: in this version the tipping of the vessel to clean the filter pack is controlled by pistons. Once the vessel has been tipped, it is easy to open because it slides on a guide rail provided.
Models with a capacity of 3 and 5 m².

All the models are made entirely of stainless steel, including the feed pump, piping and valves, and the frame, which is mounted on wheels, and there is a system for dosing the kieselgur using a piston pump with an adjustable flow rate and incorporated electric agitator, and a stainless steel dosing tank.
